Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with Special Educational Needs. The role will involve working in Reception for half of the day and in Year 1 for the remaining half. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for those who are passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference to their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with additional needs
· Assist with personal care needs as required, ensuring the child’s comfort and safety.
· No planning. Student loves music and stories, head bangs and has a level of a , so we are looking for an experienced TA with personal care who is nurturing.
· Support the child with both academic tasks and social interactions, helping to build their confidence and independence.
· Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to ensure consistent support and progress.
· Foster a nurturing and caring environment, promoting emotional well-being.

Skills & Experience Required:
· Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly in a primary school setting.
· A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children.
· Ability to provide personal care support where necessary.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
· A relevant qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), is desirable but not essential.
· An understanding of the challenges children with SEN face and how to support their learning and development.
