The Role
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Cover Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Lambeth, supporting autistic children and young people with a range of learning needs. This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuity of learning by delivering and supervising planned lessons in the absence of the usual class teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and supervise planned lessons in line with school policies
- Maintain responsibility for classroom management, pupil wellbeing and safeguarding
- Support a broad, balanced and personalised curriculum
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
Person Specification
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum (KS1-KS4)
- Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEND
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion
Desirable:
