About the School
Are you a passionate and dedicated SEMH English Tutor looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional social, emotional, and behavioural needs? We are partnering with a highly supportive alternative provision in Bradford, working with secondary-aged learners who require a nurturing, trauma-informed environment to re-engage with education.
As an SEMH English Tutor, you will:
- Deliver high-quality English teaching to small groups or on a 1:1 basis, covering functional skills, GCSE content, and literacy intervention.
- Plan, differentiate, and adapt lessons to meet individual learning plans and emotional needs.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students using a restorative and trauma-informed approach.
- Work closely with behaviour mentors, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to ensure a consistent, holistic support plan.
- Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and engagement through creative and flexible teaching strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
- QTS, FE teaching qualification, or substantial tutoring/teaching experience in English.
- Experience working with SEMH learners, alternative provisions, PRUs, or challenging behaviours.
