The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with complex autism and additional needs
- Managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Working closely with teachers and specialist staff
- Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with complex autism
- SEND experience within a school or specialist setting
- Confident supporting challenging behaviour
- Calm, patient and resilient
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs
