The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play a vital role in helping students develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform teaching and interventions
  • Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, supporting them to achieve strong outcomes
  • Foster a structured and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Support students in developing numerical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives

Ideal Candidate

  • Will Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
  • Possess effective classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to raising attainment and improving student outcomes
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive and forward-thinking team

Eligibility Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional references relating to working with children
