I am currently working with an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school based in Watford, Hertfordshire. They are currently seeking a Geography Teacher with a QTS or PGCE qualification.

The school is looking for two teaching assistants, one to work specifically within History and the other in various humanities subjects.

Geography Teacher (Geography/Humanities):

  • Location: Hertfordshire - Watford
  • Position: Geography Teacher
  • Type of work: Supporting and providing additional support to students within History and other Humanities subjects.
  • Contract or position starting date: January 2026 (When schools return)
  • Contract type: Temporary (Long-term). This will definitely continue in the new academic year.
  • Full time/part time: Full time ONLY
  • Minimum rate of pay: £170 - £220 per day, depending on experience
  • Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (Hours could change depending on the school's needs)

Learning Support Assistant, Training & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Humanities-based subject or History (Essential)
  • QTS or PGCE qualification
  • A real passion to get into teaching
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant / Experience working with a wide range of Special education needs (Desirable but not essential)
  • Reliable, Punctual and Committed (Essential)
