About the college
We are looking for an experienced School Business Manager to manage financial, HR, and operational services in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the school, supporting the leadership team with budgeting, staffing, facilities management, and compliance to provide a positive environment for students with SEMH needs.
About the role
- Oversee school finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting.
- Lead HR processes, including recruitment, payroll, and staff wellbeing.
- Manage school facilities and ensure health and safety compliance.
- Provide strategic support to leadership on financial planning and resource allocation.
- Oversee procurement and lead funding applications.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in school business management or a similar senior role.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 4 School Business Manager or equivalent).
- Strong financial, HR, and operational management experience.
- Knowledge of SEMH and the unique needs of students in specialist settings.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to school operations.
To be eligible you must
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
