About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Maths & English Tutor to join our team in Salford for an ASAP start. This part-time role offers GBP30 per hour minimum, with the potential for a higher rate depending on your availability. Sessions will be delivered during school hours, and can be held in school, at the students' home, or online, depending on your preferences and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored Maths and English lessons to students with SEMH needs, adapting content and pace to meet individual learning needs.
- Use strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm and empathetic manner.
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and school staff.
Essential Requirements
- At least 6 months experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English to children.
- At least 6 months experience working with children with severe SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs.
- While a teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, etc.) is preferred.
- You must be cleared to work with children (DBS check required).
Additional Information
The role is part-time, with sessions taking place during school hours (Monday to Friday). Sessions can be delivered in school, at the students' home, or online, based on your availability and the preferences of the student.
