Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English & Maths Tutor to support secondary-aged learners across Salford from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality, one-to-one tuition to students who require additional academic support. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons that help learners build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Sessions are delivered during school hours, offering excellent flexibility for tutors looking for part-time work while making a genuine difference to young people's education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, personalised one-to-one English and Maths tuition to secondary-aged pupils.
  • Plan and prepare your own lessons, tailoring sessions to meet each learner's individual needs and learning style.
  • Support students in developing confidence, subject knowledge, and key academic skills.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies where required.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with learners to encourage engagement and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A minimum of 6 months' UK-based teaching experience.
  • Experience delivering English and Maths to secondary-aged pupils.
  • Confidence in independently planning and preparing lessons.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience delivering one-to-one tuition.
  • Experience supporting learners with additional educational needs, including SEND.
  • Knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Experience helping students prepare for examinations and improve attainment.
