Prospero Teaching are presently looking for an experienced Art Teacher to come and work within a dedicated Alternative Provision located within the area of Salford. The school is a Pupil Referral Unit, supporting KS4 learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing environment where creativity and individual learning needs are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role
- Deliver engaging and accessible Art lessons tailored to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Support learners in achieving their GCSE Art qualification.
- Work collaboratively with staff to create a positive and inclusive learning experience.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential, with a specialism in Art.
- Previous experience working within a PRU or AP is highly desired.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping students succeed.
To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child related references.
