About the Role:\\n\\nAs the Safeguarding Lead, you will be the key figure in ensuring the welfare and safety of all students, many of whom have complex needs. You'll work closely with SLT, staff, external agencies, and families to promote a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all pupils.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nAct as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the school\\n\\nMaintain and update safeguarding policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements\\n\\nLead on child protection and safeguarding concerns and referrals\\n\\nProvide staff training and ongoing support to ensure safeguarding best practices\\n\\nBuild trusted relationships with students, staff, and families\\n\\nLiaise with social care, the police, and external agencies as required\\n\\nIdeal Candidate:\\n\\nProven experience in a safeguarding role, ideally within an educational or care setting\\n\\nDSL qualification (or willingness to undertake training)\\n\\nStrong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, KCSIE, and child protection procedures\\n\\nExcellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills\\n\\nA commitment to promoting the wellbeing and rights of young people, particularly those with additional needs\\n\\nWhy Apply?\\n\\nOpportunity to work in a school that makes a genuine impact on young people's lives\\n\\nSupportive and inclusive team environment\\n\\nOngoing CPD and professional development\\n\\nSecure, full-time position
