As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to support learning across the curriculum and may deliver pre-planned lessons or provide PPA cover when required. You will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic progress, behaviour, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required.
  • Provide targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
  • Support classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
  • Assist with planning, assessment, and resource preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders.
  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements:
  • HLTA status or relevant Level 4/5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Confidence leading lessons and supporting pupil progress.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
