Are you a nurturing and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are working with a warm, inclusive specialist setting in Rochdale that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of their pupils.
About the role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour support, and tailored interventions
- Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive routines throughout the school day
- Contribute to progress tracking and communicate regularly with the wider support team
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or care setting)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively
- A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
- Strong understanding of Autism and SEND
- A relevant TA qualification
To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
