About the School:
We are working with a specialist SEND provision in Rochdale that runs vibrant, action-packed holiday clubs for young people aged 4-18 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is a brilliant opportunity to do something truly rewarding during the school holidays - bringing energy, creativity, and fun to young people who thrive on positive experiences and consistent support.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Planning and leading fun, inclusive activities for young people aged 4-18 with SEND
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for every young person
- Supporting individual needs and adapting activities to suit a range of abilities
- Supervising young people throughout the session, ensuring their safety at all times
- Setting up and clearing away equipment at the start and end of each session
- Working as part of a close-knit, enthusiastic team
- Building positive relationships with young people, families, and colleagues
- Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks where required
What We Are Looking For:
- A fun, energetic, and creative approach to working with young people
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, disabilities, or complex needs
- Plenty of initiative, a great sense of humour, and bags of enthusiasm
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with young people of all abilities
- A team player who is reliable, adaptable, and fully committed during sessions
- A CACHE, NVQ, or relevant childcare/youth work qualification is desirable but not essential
To Be Eligible You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
