Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 3:15pm, school holidays

About the School:

We are working with a specialist SEND provision in Rochdale that runs vibrant, action-packed holiday clubs for young people aged 4-18 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is a brilliant opportunity to do something truly rewarding during the school holidays - bringing energy, creativity, and fun to young people who thrive on positive experiences and consistent support.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and leading fun, inclusive activities for young people aged 4-18 with SEND
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for every young person
  • Supporting individual needs and adapting activities to suit a range of abilities
  • Supervising young people throughout the session, ensuring their safety at all times
  • Setting up and clearing away equipment at the start and end of each session
  • Working as part of a close-knit, enthusiastic team
  • Building positive relationships with young people, families, and colleagues
  • Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks where required

What We Are Looking For:

  • A fun, energetic, and creative approach to working with young people
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, disabilities, or complex needs
  • Plenty of initiative, a great sense of humour, and bags of enthusiasm
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with young people of all abilities
  • A team player who is reliable, adaptable, and fully committed during sessions
  • A CACHE, NVQ, or relevant childcare/youth work qualification is desirable but not essential

To Be Eligible You Must:

  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
  • Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
