Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated Outstanding academy in Tower Hamlets.
This full-time, long-term role involves supporting pupils with additional needs within a mainstream setting.
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Start Date: September 2026
- Contract: Long-term, full-time
- Hours: Monday β Friday
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with ASD, SLD and PMLD
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Support students with personal care where required
- Help promote positive behaviour, engagement and learning
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour
- Experience working with individuals aged 2-19 years
- Valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional references
