Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to work within a primary school resource base in Handsworth, Birmingham supporting pupils with additional needs.

The Role

This is a full-time teaching role within a well-established primary resource base. You will be working with pupils who are working at a lower developmental level, delivering tailored learning to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Supporting pupils with ASD leading the class, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Creating a structured, nurturing learning environment
  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with ASD and additional needs
  • Primary or SEN teaching background preferred
  • Patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
  • Able to start September 2026 and commit until at least the summer term
