Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Class Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools in Redcar on a full-time and long-term basis. The year group that the role will be based in is flexible based on the experience and preferences of the successful candidate.
About the Role:
- The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allows all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
- Stretching and challenging the learning and progress of all pupils.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
- Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
- Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and learning styles of all pupils.
- Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress.
- Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
- Working effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience.
About the School:
The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Redcar. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2027.
- Start Date – September 2026.
- Location – Redcar.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you).
- QTS and Primary School Teaching experience within the UK.
- Previous experience of Teaching Reception Class (desirable).
- Experience of short, medium and long-term planning.
- Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport.
- Experience of Teaching within the UK.
- Strong organisation and communication skills.
