Job description

The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching are currently on-boarding teachers and mentors to join their tutoring team for the full academic year in the Manchester area.

The support will be taking place at the young persons home or in a local library on a part-time basis (up to 15 hours per week).

Contract/Position Details:

Location: Manchester
Position: Qualified Tutor (EYFS/SEN Specialist)
Hours: up to 15 hours per week
Start date: As soon as possible
Duration: ongoing until a school placement is found
Contract Type: Temporary/part-time

Experience, Training and Qualifications required:

QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications is preferred
Demonstrated experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Possess UK classroom teaching experience and experience delivering tailored lesson plans
Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the candidate must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child-related references.
