Job description

Prospero Teaching are seeking passionate and qualified QTS Tutors to support young people across primary, secondary, and college age in the Havant area. We provide bespoke 1:1 tuition designed to help learners reach their full potential-both academically and socially.

As a Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver personalised learning sessions in core subjects (English, Maths, Science, etc.) tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Support learners who may be disengaged from mainstream education , helping them re-engage and thrive.
  • Work with students who may have SEN, SEMH, or other barriers to learning , using creative and adaptive teaching strategies.
  • Help learners achieve their GCSEs, functional skills , or other educational goals through structured and supportive tuition.
  • About you:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working with vulnerable learners or those with additional needs is highly desirable.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons .
  • A commitment to helping young people achieve both academic success and personal growth .

    Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
  • To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
