Prospero Teaching are looking for a confident and ambitious Psychology Graduate who has a genuine passion for education and is interested in supporting secondary aged students (11-16) who are struggling in school for any reason. The role involves providing support either in their work or in a pastoral capacity at a secondary school in High Peak.
It is essential that you have some kind of experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, PTSD or ADHD.

Full time: Minimum rate - £100 per day
Hours: 8:30 am - 4 pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
- Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential
- The ability to build rapport with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor
Role Requirements:
- Psychology (BA Hons) degree
- Enhanced DBS (clean, relevant and on the update service) - can be obtained through Prospero Teaching
- Safeguarding certificate, prevent awareness, FGM - essential
- Behaviour management training - desirable
- A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
- A genuine passion for enriching young people in their education
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships
- Previous experience working with young people
- Good knowledge of SEMH/behavioural difficulties
