The SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provision is an integral part of the school, and we strive to provide exceptional support to our students. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our SEND provision team within the primary school. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with special educational needs and disabilities. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities for students with SEND. Provide one-on-one and group support to students, both in and out of the classroom. Support the classroom teacher in managing the learning environment and implementing individual education plans (IEPs). Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence. Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Assist with personal care and mobility needs of students as required. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of SEND strategies within the school. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with children with SEND is essential. Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
