Position Details: Role : Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Hours : Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 15:30 pm Start Date : Immediately Location : Maidstone About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work both inside and outside of the classroom, supporting students in a Year 4 and 5 class. This is a split role where you will: Provide one-on-one support to a student with autism, helping them navigate their educational journey and reach their developmental goals. Support a small group of boys with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs , helping them build resilience, confidence, and academic progress. Collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and SENDCo , who will provide comprehensive support throughout your role. Work in a structured environment with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) in place for all students, ensuring you have guidance and strategies to effectively support their needs. What We’re Looking For: Experience : Prior experience working with children, especially those with autism or SEMH needs, is beneficial but not required. Passion : A genuine commitment to helping children overcome challenges and succeed in their learning journey. Flexibility : Willingness to work both in the classroom and outdoors, as required by the role. Compliance : Must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced Child-Only DBS check. Location : Ideally, candidates will reside in or near Hackney, or have reliable transportation to commute to the area. Why Register with us?
