SEN Tutor - KS1 & KS2 (Primary)
Location: Birtley
Up to 15 hours per week
At Prospero Teaching , we work closely with Local Councils, schools, and SEND teams to support young learners who need additional help outside of the traditional classroom setting. We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to work with KS1 and KS2 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Birtley. These children are not attending full-time school, and we aim to help them overcome their barriers to learning by offering engaging, tailored lessons in Maths , English , and general learning support.
We're seeking passionate tutors who can make a real difference by providing a positive, personalised learning experience.
Role Overview:
- Pay: Up to 30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Hours: Up to 15 hours per week , flexible around your schedule
- Location: Birtley
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group tuition for KS1 & KS2 students with SEN
- Adapt lessons in Maths , English , and general learning to meet the individual needs of each student
- Support children in developing social skills , emotional regulation , and academic confidence
- Track progress and provide regular updates to parents and carers
- Foster a safe, encouraging, and motivating learning environment
- Complete attendance and feedback reports as required
Requirements:
- Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN (ideal but not essential)
- Ability to travel to Birtley regularlyersion>
