Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for an experienced 1:1 Tutor in Bolton, ideally with experience within a SEN setting. We are a Teaching Agency that strives to make a positive impact in young people's lives by supporting their development and education. Our Children's Education Team works with local authorities throughout the North-West to support vulnerable pupils currently outside of mainstream education.
Subject areas include: Math, English, Science.
Contract/Position Details:
- Location - within the community or pupil's home in Bolton
- Type of work - Contract
- Start date - ASAP
- Duration - ongoing support
- Part-time
- Minimum rate of pay - GBP25/hr
- Hours - 8am - 4pm*
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on Update Service
- Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
- 2 years of professional references
- QTS or equivalent Tutoring experience
- Experience working within a SEN setting (preferred, but not required)
The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning. The aim is to provide the pupil with structure in their daily routine and to continue their educational development, ultimately helping them return to an educational setting.
Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.
*Tuition takes place generally in school daytime hours but occasional opportunities after school 3-4pm and evening occur. Sessions can range between 1-4 hours on a daily or weekly basis.
