Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH) Prospero Teaching is looking for a resilient and experienced Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH) proficient in Key Stage 1-2 support. The learning provision is based in Fawley, Hampshire. The school is for students in Key Stages 2 who have either been permanently excluded from mainstream school or who are in danger of becoming so, because of social, emotional or mental health difficulties. It also offers places for children with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying SEMH. The position is open to all experienced Teaching Assistants/support workers, but also those with a youth work background or to those who have either mentored or coached children with challenging behaviour. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
