About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Liverpool. This position is ideal for a qualified teacher who has experience working with pupils who have a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised lessons, managing a small class with the support of experienced SEN teaching assistants, and ensuring that each child progresses academically and socially.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching & Planning: Create and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with pupils’ EHCPs and the National Curriculum

Individual Support: Provide targeted support to pupils with varying SEN profiles, adapting teaching methods accordingly

Assessment & Progress Tracking: Monitor, assess, and report on student progress using a range of formative and summative assessment tools

Classroom Environment: Establish a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence

Team Collaboration: Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure a holistic approach to each childs development

Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour strategies and support students in developing social and emotional skills

Safeguarding: Ensure all safeguarding and child protection policies are adhered to at all times

Professional Development: Take part in ongoing CPD and stay informed on best practices in SEN and inclusive education

About You:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching in a primary setting, preferably with SEN

Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies

Calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
