The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate teacher who:
- Has experience working in mainstream or SEN primary settings
- Specialises in English, Literacy and Communication development
- Can deliver differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to a range of learning needs, including children with ASD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to complex learning needs
- Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Has a strong commitment to inclusive education and raising pupil attainment
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, structured, and supportive lessons focused on developing core English and communication skills
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual EHCPs and learning styles
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
- Foster a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to support holistic development
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has substantial primary teaching experience
- Demonstrates expertise or training in English, Literacy or Communication-focused interventions
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting is highly desirable
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and a nurturing approach
