Brief Description:

We're seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming SEN primary school supporting children aged 2-11 with complex needs, including autism, PMLD, and SLD.

About the Role:

As an HLTA, you'll work closely with class teachers and the wider SEN team to support pupils' learning and development. You'll lead small group sessions, assist with planning and delivering tailored activities, and help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of each child.

About the School:

This is a nurturing and inclusive SEN school dedicated to supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism, and complex medical needs. The school provides a caring and stimulating environment where every child can thrive and achieve their potential.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HLTA status or relevant higher-level qualification
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils, ideally in a specialist setting
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Confidence leading small groups and supporting differentiated learning
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
