Start Date: September 2026

Contract Type: Full‑time, Permanent / Long‑Term

Salary: £168‑£232 per day (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

We are currently working in partnership with a successful and well‑established secondary school that is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher from September 2026. The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. There may also be opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5, depending on your experience and subject specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies
  • Support students in developing scientific knowledge, enquiry skills, and critical thinking
  • Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong outcomes
  • Maintain a positive, well‑managed classroom environment
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in one or more Science disciplines
  • Possess effective classroom management and organisational skills
  • Show a commitment to raising student attainment and engagement
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment

Eligibility Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional references relating to working with children
