The Role
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play a key role in developing students' literacy skills, critical thinking, and appreciation for literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
- Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations, ensuring strong outcomes
- Create an inclusive and focused classroom environment with clear expectations for behaviour
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and departmental initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
