Prospero Teaching are recruiting a Food Tech Teacher for an inspiring Pupil Referral Unit located in Blackburn, dedicated to supporting pupils with a focus on a specialised approach to education. Based in Blackburn, the school is committed to promoting health and wellbeing, tailored to meet the unique needs of its students. This is a supportive and inclusive environment where staff are empowered to develop professionally and make a meaningful impact.

The role involves working predominantly with key stages 3 and 4, with a focus on delivering a creative and adaptive Food Tech curriculum that fosters the development of confidence and social interaction. Due to the nature of the students, you must be comfortable managing challenging behaviour and recognise the importance of supporting students in regulating their emotions. The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers. Depending on performance, the school would look at offering a permanent contract.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
