Prospero Teaching is currently speaking with Qualified Teachers (QTS) and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are planning their next move for the September start in the Portsmouth area. We are working in partnership with a variety of primary schools, secondary schools, and specialist SEN provisions who are preparing to appoint teachers across different subjects and key stages.

Whether you're actively applying or simply exploring what is available for the new academic year, we can support you in identifying opportunities that suit your skills, experience, and career ambitions. The Role:

  • Deliver lessons within your subject area or key stage
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured teaching
  • Monitor progress and provide clear, effective feedback
  • Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve their potential
  • Maintain positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
  • Contribute to department planning and wider school life
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an ECT
  • Strong subject knowledge or understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Confident classroom practitioner or developing teaching practice
  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • Organised and motivated to deliver high-quality teaching
  • Open to opportunities across a range of school settings
  • Passionate about supporting pupils' development and progress

Contract Details:

  • Position: Qualified Teacher (QTS) / ECT
  • Location: Portsmouth
  • Start Date: September
  • Working Pattern: Full-time
  • Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
  • Key Stages: Primary, Secondary, SEN

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

  • QTS required (or working towards for ECTs)
  • Relevant teaching experience or placements
  • Safeguarding training can be provided
