Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs (including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SLD, and complex needs)
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions under the direction of the class teacher
- Assist in implementing Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and behaviour support plans
- Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation using appropriate strategies
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual pupil needs
- Support pupils with personal care where required (training provided if applicable)
- Encourage independence, communication, and social development
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Maintain accurate observations and contribute to pupil progress records
Person Specification
- Essential: Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
- Understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices
