Prospero Teaching is delighted to be supporting a warm, inclusive early years setting in Poole. They are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or 3 qualified) to join their team and provide high-quality support for children aged 0-5 with a range of additional needs.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development, with a particular interest in supporting children with SEND, including Autism, Speech & Language delay, sensory needs, and social-emotional development.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support daily routines and learning activities within the early years environment
  • Provide nurturing, individualised support for children with additional needs
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting
  • Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate, SEN-focused activities
  • Encourage children's communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with colleagues, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Communicate positively with parents and carers
  • Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
  • Have experience supporting children in an early years or SEN setting
  • Bring warmth, patience, and a child-centred approach
  • Understand the EYFS framework and early child development
  • Communicate clearly and kindly with families and colleagues
  • Are reliable, flexible, and a strong team player

Requirements

  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
  • Provide two professional references from the past 24 months
  • Be available for full-time hours, Monday to Friday
