Support Young People to Re-Engage with Education
We're looking for a Secondary Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Poole. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll support learners who require alternative educational provision and benefit from a tailored approach to learning. Many students have experienced barriers to education and need a tutor who can build confidence, encourage engagement, and help them make positive academic progress.
Whether your experience is in core subjects, humanities, sciences, languages, or vocational subjects, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference through one-to-one support.

Key Stage: Secondary (KS3 & KS4)

Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
- QTS or PGCE Highly Desirable
- Experience supporting secondary-aged learners
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more curriculum areas
- Ability to deliver engaging and personalised lessons
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, adaptable, and positive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally around Poole
