About the role
We are looking for a dedicated PMLD Teacher to join Oldham SEND Trust, working with students across KS2 and KS3 to support them in achieving their developmental milestones and EHCP outcomes. The role involves close collaboration with support staff, parents, carers, and other professionals to provide a consistent and holistic approach to learning. This is a meaningful, long‑term opportunity within a specialist Trust that is deeply committed to providing outstanding provision for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored, engaging lessons to pupils with PMLD across KS2 and KS3
- Plan and differentiate learning to meet EHCP outcomes and individual developmental milestones
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and carers to ensure a consistent and nurturing learning environment
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom where every student can thrive
- Liaise with external professionals and contribute to reviews and assessments as required
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in an SEN setting, ideally with PMLD pupils (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment)
- Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to nurturing every child's progress
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
To be Eligible You Must
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
