Contract Type: Flexible, Part-Time

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: Β£25-Β£30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

We have a student in Year 11 that has an EHCP and requires Maths and English Functional Skills tuition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one tuition in Functional Skills Maths and English.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN needs, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging.
  • Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families.
  • Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students build confidence in Maths and English.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Functional Skills Maths and English.
  • Experience working with SEN students.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • PGCE and/or QTS is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual learner needs.

Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
