Prospero Teaching is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Performing Arts Technician to join a successful secondary school in Croxley Green, Rickmansworth. This is an exciting opportunity to support a thriving Performing Arts department and contribute to high-quality Drama, Music and Dance education across the school.
The role will involve providing technical support for lessons, rehearsals, productions and school events, assisting with lighting, sound, stage management and general preparation of performance spaces. You will work closely with the Performing Arts team to help deliver engaging curricular and extra-curricular activities for Key Stages 3-5.
Contract Details
- Location: Croxley Green, Rickmansworth
- Contract type: Term time only for 5 INSET/Additional Days
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: Permanent
- Salary: Β£15,693.24 to Β£16,427.57 per annum (incl. fringe allowance)
- Hours: 25 hours per week (flexible for events/productions)
- Part time: 25 hours per week (Monday-Friday, with flexibility for events/productions)
Experience, Training and Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in technical theatre, performing arts or events production
- Skills in lighting, sound, AV, stage management or backstage work (training can be provided)
- Ability to support teachers and students across Performing Arts subjects
- Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year (can be provided)
Eligibility Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
- Two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years
