Prospero Teaching are working closely with a well-regarded independent school in Salisbury, who are looking to appoint a Teacher of Physical Education to join them from September 2026. The school has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspiring PE teacher to join a thriving department in a setting where pupils are highly motivated, well behaved, and engaged in both academic and extracurricular life.

The school places a strong emphasis on sport and physical wellbeing, offering excellent facilities and a broad range of sporting opportunities.   • Minimum rate of pay - MPS / UPS + 10% uplift
  • Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm, plus extracurricular commitments, fixtures, parent's evenings, and departmental meetings

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience teaching PE in UK secondary schools
  • Ability to teach a broad range of sports and activities
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular sport and school fixtures
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years
