PE teacher – Warrington – January start Prospero Teaching are looking for a PE Teacher for a Secondary school based near Warrington. The role will be full time and will be for 2 terms, from January until July. You will be expected to teach classes across both key stage 3 & 4. It would be advantageous if you have previously ran a sports team in a UK secondary school. The school has a small, yet very supportive & welcoming PE department. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers, all applicants will be expected to hold qualified teacher status (QTS). CONTRACT DETAILS Location Warrington Position PE Teacher Type of work PE Teacher Start date January 2025 End date – July 2025 Duration – 2 terms Full time Minimum rate of pay GBP162.31 per day Hours 8:15am 4pm, plus parents evenings and departmental meetings if and when required EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS or equivalent Minimum 1 year PE teaching experience in the UK Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided) Up to date Prevent Awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however training can be provided) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
