This role involves teaching Science across KS2–KS4 to students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, communication needs, and complex needs. You will be someone who can quickly learn the context of the setting, adapt your teaching style, and consistently deliver good to outstanding lessons. - Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to meet a range of SEND needs
- Work effectively without constant direction and use initiative
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students
- Understand behaviour as communication and respond with consistency and empathy
- Above all, understand our students and know how to reach them
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in SEND or specialist settings
- Strong understanding of SEND needs and positive behaviour strategies
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Highly organised, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching and pastoral care
- Passion for helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their full potential
To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
