Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced SENCO for an inclusive two-form entry Primary School in Mitcham, Merton. The school is well-established and highly regarded within the community for its nurturing ethos, strong pastoral support, and commitment to inclusive education. CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Mitcham, Merton
  • Position: SENCO - Primary School
  • Type of Work: Leading and coordinating SEND provision across the school, managing EHCPs, liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies, monitoring pupil progress, and supporting inclusive teaching and learning practices
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • End Date: July 2027
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full Time
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: From GBP215 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
  • Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working within a Primary School setting
