We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide specialist support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across primary, secondary, and post-16 settings. The role involves delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments, intervention planning, and functional recommendations that promote participation, independence, and access to learning. You will work collaboratively with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive effective, holistic support tailored to their developmental and educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct specialist OT assessments for students with a range of SEN, including autism, developmental delays, sensory needs, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.
- Develop evidence-based intervention plans to support functional skills, sensory regulation, motor development, and engagement in school routines.
- Provide clear written recommendations for EHCPs, annual reviews, and school-based support plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, families, and MDT professionals to ensure effective support.
