Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking, motivating Reception teaching assistant in Enfield, North London. We are a Two‑form Primary school with a supportive leadership team and a dynamic, inclusive learning environment committed to academic excellence and student success. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support our educators and help students thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Contract Details

  • Location: Enfield, North London
  • Position: Nursery Teaching Assistant
  • Type of work: supporting teaching, assessing student work, lesson plans and activities
  • Contract start date: January 2026
  • Duration: 1 term contract, may be extended
  • Contract end date: end of term 1
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full time
  • Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and classroom management
  • Assess student work
  • Develop lesson plans and activities

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience teaching KS1 or KS2 (preferred but not required)
  • Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the past year
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Hold CACHE or NVQ Level 3 or a degree in Childcare/Early Childhood

Eligibility Requirements

  • Valid right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child‑barred list DBS, and be enrolled or willing to enrol onto the DBS update service
