Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a highly motivated Nursery Assistant to join our supply team in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to young children aged between 6 months and 4 years old. Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and delivery of daily activities, including creative play, reading, and outdoor activities Ensure the safety and welfare of the children at all times Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Support the key worker in maintaining accurate records of children\’s development and progress Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other relevant meetings as required Maintain a clean, tidy, and child-friendly environmentRequirements: Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting Good communication and interpersonal skills A positive attitude towards working with children and their families A commitment to continuing professional developmentContract details for Nursery Assistant role: Location – Southamton, Hampshire Position – Nursery Assistant Contract or position start date – ASAP Contract type – Temp to perm Full time/part-time – Full time Rate of pay – £11.92 – £12.50 per hourTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must: Hold right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related referencesProspero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate: Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management In-house Training and Development Team An experienced consultant working within your area, being able to discuss potential opportunities & guidance if needed
