Are you an experienced and motivated sports coach looking to secure a role for September? We are currently working with a large SEMH provision in the Manchester area to recruit a Sports Coach to join their team. The school supports pupils aged between 11-18, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, offering a nurturing, trauma-informed approach.
As a Sports Coach, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, using sports sessions to encourage re-engagement
- Maintain regular communication with other staff members to monitor progress
- Build strong rapport with students and staff
What we are looking for:
- A genuine passion for sports and supporting young people with SEMH needs
- Previous experience in coaching or youth mentor roles is highly desired
- Level 2 Team Teach training is highly desired but training can be provided
- Up to date safeguarding training is desired but training can be provided
To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
