Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Specialist SEND Tutor to provide individualised tuition to a learner in East Manchester.
The role would be ideal for an educator who can make English engaging and accessible while supporting a learner to develop both their academic skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging 1:1 tutor
- Support development across reading, writing and comprehension
- Identify individual areas for improvement
- Adapt lessons to suit the learners ability and interests
- Encourage confidence and positive engagement
- Prepare appropriate resources and activities
- Monitor learner progress
Requirements:
- Strong subject knowledge in English
- Experience teaching or tutoring children or young people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative and adaptable approach to teaching
- Experience supporting learners with additional needs desirable
- Relevant teaching qualification or tutoring experience desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
