The school is a Pupil Referral Unit, supporting secondary‑aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be managing the Maths department for all sites.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to pupils.
- Work alongside other teachers and the SEN team to identify barriers and plan accordingly.
- Build rapport and provide pastoral support to pupils.
Qualifications and Experience
- An excellent understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Previous experience teaching GCSE maths, preferably within a SEMH setting.
- Experience planning, leading and teaching.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this position.
- Passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to apply).
- Be able to provide two professional child‑related references.
