How to prepare for a job interview at Prospero Teaching

✨Know Your EYFS Framework

Make sure you brush up on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework before your interview. Be ready to discuss how you've implemented it in your previous roles and how you plan to use it as a Room Leader. This shows that you’re not just familiar with the guidelines, but that you can apply them effectively.

✨Showcase Your Leadership Skills

Prepare examples of how you've led a team or supported colleagues in the past. Think about specific situations where you’ve mentored others or taken charge during a busy day. This will demonstrate your capability to lead and inspire your team, which is crucial for the role.

✨Engage with Scenario Questions

Expect scenario-based questions that assess your problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations. Practice responding to questions like how you would manage a conflict between children or how you would support a struggling team member. This will help you articulate your thought process clearly.

✨Build Rapport with Interviewers

Remember, interviews are a two-way street! Take the time to connect with your interviewers by asking them about their experiences and the nursery's culture. This not only shows your interest in the position but also helps you gauge if the environment aligns with your values and approach to childcare.
