About the Role: The role involves planning and teaching engaging Maths lessons for pupils with a wide range of SEN in an SEND setting, enabling all pupils to make progress. Work with Primary and Secondary aged pupils within an SEND setting who have SEND such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD and PMLD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, planning and implementing a Maths curriculum.
- Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
- Differentiating lessons to suit the needs and learning styles of all pupils.
- Using varied assessment methods to monitor pupil progress.
- Maintaining high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
- Collaborating effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure students receive a high-quality educational experience.
About the School: The role is based in an inspirational SEND setting in Morpeth. The school supports pupils across Primary and Secondary age ranges with a wide range of SEND.
